Our 2010 Schedule is now available.  Looking for an early start to the riding season?  Why not try our 3 day spring tune up clinic in April. Visit our Schedule page for all the dates.

As the holiday season rapidly approaches, I'd like to take this time to thank each and every one who participated, audited and hosted Kinder Horsemanship clinics in 2009.  It was a wonderful year filled with a lot of learning - mostly for me!  I am blessed to have met the many horses and riders and I hope I was able to assist in some positive way. May you and your horse enjoy this wonderful season!  Merry Christmas and all the best in 2010 from Wendy and her family!

Well, things are slowing down as we head into another season change.  I look back and wonder where our summer went? As we wind down our riding season, remember there's still lots of things you can do with your horse to keep up with the training and progress you started this year.  Enjoy the cool crisp days of fall, take in the OEF Conference in November where Josh Lyons will be a guest speaker.  Drop by his booth at the Trade Fair and say hi!  I will be there to talk horses with you!

Travels West!  I spent a week in Washington state with a side trip to Chilliwack BC for the Mane Event and a Trainers Challenge.  I visited with 3 of my fellow Certification students and found out how they are developing their businesses.  It was a fun and worthwhile trip.

Whew! What a busy time since I last posted some news!
There's been several clinics, some here, some away and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as well as learned lots!  As I continue to improve on my teaching techniques, I have to thank everyone who has allowed me to "experiment" with them.  It continues to be a fun journey and I hope I have helped you all with at least a small piece of the puzzle called "horsemanship"!

June 5 Day Clinic

July 2 Day Clinic

Three Day Clinic in Port Perry
What a fun group of people in this clinic!  There was a diverse group of riders, horses and skill levels.  The "girls" worked hard on the exercises but were still able to laugh and poke fun at each other and me!   Though I did hear a few whispers of sore behinds or something to that effect,  everyone did a great job surviving 3 days in the saddle.

Two Day Clinic in West Guilford
This clinic provided a variety of participants, from a Percheron to a Rocky Mountain horse.  We worked on several exercises to improve response to the bridle and rider's cues.  We even retreated to the barn to avoid a thunderstorm where we worked on our calm down exercise.  Thanks Debbie for a wonderful opportunity!

What a show!
Well, Josh Lyons has been and gone but I'm sure that everyone who attended this event is still thinkin' and talkin' about it!  From the amazing horsemanship to the crazy weather, we can sure say we saw it all!  Thanks to everyone for coming and making Josh and Jana feel so welcomed. The trailer loading horse was a challenge but was carefully handled and eventually loaded quietly. Our youngster started out with little confidence but through the training process gained alot and was quietly rode under saddle. Thank you Carol and Claire for providing such great students!  Here's a few pictures.........
